🎬Inauguration frenzy
Did you know? Without Tuesdays, history classes wouldn’t be a thing. Tuesdays are considered the least special but harbor significant events across human history. There’s also a wise saying that “books are better read on Tuesdays”, not tested but you should try it out.
Not to worry, Squared Take takes history class today. President Trump is back in office, but he’s bound to frown if you don’t read till the end.

Trump’s Iconic Return

Jamie Polisario/CNN
On today’s episode of deja-vu: President Trump was sworn into office on Monday, January 20, 2024, 9 years after his first successful election and 4 years after his impeachment as President of the United States.
He’s here to make Americans proud. President Trump signed the oath of office and resumed as 47th president of the United States on Monday, saying in his second inaugural address that “the golden age of America begins right now”, according to CBS News. The new president asserted that the United States would “flourish” again in his 30-minute speech at the US Capitol, Rotunda, Washington D.C.
The new Sheriff made his presence felt
President Trump signed the first batch of executive decisions on several monumental aspects of the United States economy, as well as overturned democratic policies on immigration, trade, etc. Trump in statements said:
He will revoke nearly 80 executive actions of the administration of former President Joe Biden, in addition to placing an immediate freeze on new regulations and hiring, according to Reuters.
Ensure that the federal e-workers return to office and commute to work 5 days a week, with weekends for rest. Experts reported concerns about the effects of the abrupt cost-cutting move, alongside executive decisions on several aspects.
He pardoned Capitol Hill invaders. The executive order is set to cover nearly 1,500 Jan. 6 defendants who invaded Capitol Hill in protest over 4 years back just hours after reclaiming the presidential seat.
But this is only the beginning… several executive orders, including the ban on birthright citizenship for children born of illegal immigrants, cannot be changed by presidential decree as it also requires the assent of the Supreme Court of the United States. -OA

Tiktok’s 24-hour resurrection

You may imagine where the joyful sounds on Tiktok have emerged from in the last 24 hours but there’s only one answer. Yes! It’s as you thought, Americans are back on Tiktok, but on a limited subscription. As foretold, President Trump signed an executive order on Monday that delayed the ban’s enforcement for 75 days.
The action ensures the U.S. Department of Justice does not enforce the ban which was signed on January 19 by former president Joe Biden. The law enforced the ban, unless, a prospective American buyer worth $50 billion decides to buy the app. As usual, we have no bets against Elon Musk to place.
